Membership Access

Turn your directory into a members-only resource. Charge visitors a monthly, yearly or one-time fee to see your directory. They pay through your own Stripe account, so every cent is yours, and they get a login on your directory to manage their membership.

How it works

• Pick what needs a membership — the whole directory, or only the listing pages. With the whole-directory gate you choose which pages stay public: homepage, categories, blog, custom pages or the submit form.
• Visitors hit the paywall — non-members are sent to your membership page with your own heading, text and button, your plans and a sign-in link. Pay, and they land back on the page they wanted.
• Teaser pages keep ranking — when only listing pages are gated, a non-member opening a listing sees its name, image, category and the first lines of the description above your plans. Search engines keep indexing your listings; visitors get a reason to join.
• Members manage themselves — a Membership page in the business dashboard shows their plan and renewal date with a cancel button. Activation sends a welcome email you can edit under Email Templates.

Key Features

• Your Stripe, your money — membership plans are Stripe products you pull in on Payment Providers and mark as Membership. Subscriptions renew through Stripe; one-time plans grant lifetime access. Stripe promotion codes work at checkout.
• Members list — Monetize → Members shows everyone with access: plan, status, since and until. Revoke, reactivate or set an end date.
• Grant access by hand — for trials, comps, partners or buyers through other providers: enter an email, an account is created and the welcome email goes out.
• Owner and team always get in — you and your team members never see the paywall, and a preview link lets you check the public view.
• Plays well with everything else — password protection, paid listings, claims and the public submit form keep working alongside the membership gate.

How to Set Up

1. Create your membership products in Stripe and import them on Monetize → Payment Providers, setting the plan type to Membership.
2. Open Monetize → Membership, enable it, choose what to gate and write your paywall copy.
3. Open your directory in a private window to see the paywall as a visitor would.

Available on plans that accept payments. Not available yet with Lemon Squeezy, Creem or PayPal checkout; members paying through those can be granted access by hand.
