Password-Protected Directories

Make your entire directory private with one toggle. When password protection is on, every page on your directory is only visible to visitors who enter your shared access password — perfect for congregation directories, member rosters, alumni networks, and internal staff directories.

How it works

• One shared password — set it once and share it with your members in a newsletter, bulletin, or email. Visitors enter it once per device; no accounts to create and no apps to install
• A branded gate page — locked visitors see a clean unlock screen with your directory's logo and name, not an error page
• Hidden from search engines — while protection is on, search engines are blocked automatically, so member details never end up in search results
• Payments keep flowing — webhooks and integrations continue to work normally behind the gate

Why it matters

Some directories are meant to be found; others hold personal information that belongs to your members — home addresses, phone numbers, family photos. Password protection gives you the digital version of the printed member booklet that never left the building: current, browsable from any device, and members-only.

Turn it on under Settings → General Settings → Privacy, set your access password, and your directory is private from that moment.
